Weigh In: Week 4
Previous Weight: 20 stone, 12 pounds.
New Weight: 20 stone, 8 pounds.
Weight Loss: 4 pounds.
Total 2015 Weight Loss: 9 pounds.
Well, this is something of a surprise. Despite constantly writing about the importance of resisting temptation, this has not been a great week for me. I'm still eating pretty well at meal times but have snuck off to Tesco to buy a maple pecan plait, a vanilla creme crown, a cheese snack pack, 6 Kingsmill pancakes and a bag of mini Gingerbread amongst other things. I've also not been able to exercise as much as I would ordinarily do in the course of a normal week. Having said that, I am a lot more active than I used to be and I imagine that still helps.
This loss still feels rather inexplicable, but I'll take it. I've got a pound left to lose before I'm back at my pre-Christmas weight but have just about succeeded in my goal to lose 2 pounds a week. On average at least.
Other stray notes from today. I am currently involved with a government body who work with the disabled to help them find employment. They have recently sent me some resources on assertiveness. Today I was given a survey to fill in by TFL on my bus to Bromley. On my bus home some ten hours later, the same men gave me the same survey. I filled it in with the same information and gave it back to them, rather than turning it down. Clearly I need to give those PDFs another read through.
I also received another Kaplan study manual today. I've briefly leafed through its pages and sadly there seems to be no references to much loved television programmes but a considerable amount of stuff on processing book keeping transactions. Ho hum. But through some frenzied tapping at 9am, I procured a couple of tickets for Weird Al Yankovic's London show at the Hammersmith Apollo (I flat out refuse to call it the Eventim Apollo) in October. I'd strongly recommend checking out his new record "Mandatory Fun", in particular the very funny closing track "Jackson Park Express".
"You are my answer, my answer to everything. Which is why I'll probably do very poorly on the written part of my driver's test"
