Blog Day Afternoon

One month to go, everyone. What an emotional journey it's been. I hope, dear reader, that when this is all over you'll conclude that there was some wheat somewhere in here, rather than 366* blogs of chaff. Although having said that, the chances of the last 31 blogs being "chaffy" is rather high.
Yesterday, I had my longest working shift ever. 10 hours**. I am 27 years old and have lived something of a sheltered life, clearly. Regrettably I have no great stories to tell unless you're clamouring to hear about a fat man's increasing sense of lethargy. A man did bet on someone to win I'm A Celebrity though. Unusual. Sadly, they didn't get involved in the "Snow On Christmas Day" market, despite my best efforts.

In other news, it turns out that I could have simply just consulted my own advent calendar regarding my advent calendar curiosity, as it seems to have the full complement of 25 windows. It's a Thorntons one for the record. It's a bit sad what's happened to Thorntons. Their name was once synonymous with confectionery excellence and would always be a port of call during trips into town during my teenage years*. Now, they desperately tout their wares across a plethora of food retailers. Even the occasional Poundland. Still, despite my recent pay rise I cannot yet afford Hotel Chocolat.

* I accidentally posted two blogs on the same day.

** I can hear Monty Python's "Four Yorkshiremen" sketch playing in my head as I write this.
